Florida Villa by Disney Cumbrian Lakes Kissimmee Orlando

Thanks to all our guests for providing such invaluable insights into our villa and service. We get a real buzz hearing about our guest's experiences and thought we'd share them with you. (Alan & Jude)

Al and Jude’s place is in a great location, so handy for all the theme parks and attractions of Orlando, yet you could just as easily point the car in the other direction and it wouldn’t take much more than an hour to reach the Gulf Coast.

From what we saw, Cumbrian Lakes is certainly the best estate in the area, and with a mix of full-time homes and holiday villas, you felt like part of a community.

In America, everything seems BIG and the villa was no exception - we couldn’t get over the space, particularly in the master bedroom and en suite, while the open lounges and gallery landing made the villa light and airy.

Mum appreciated the downstairs bedroom and bathroom, while that still left three bedrooms for our daughter Isobel to choose from!

The villa has all the mod cons you’d expect and I was pleased to see that Al had arranged for WiFi to be installed, which was a massive bonus as it meant we could use our netbook to do research and planning, make bookings online, and make Skype video calls to the UK to catch up with my dad who hadn’t been well enough to travel.

There were numerous TVs around the villa too – I didn’t realise how addictive 24-hour weather channels could be!

Of course, the pool is one of the big attractions of the villa and was a huge hit, especially with Isobel who could be found in there most days.
We went away for the weekend down to Naples on the Gulf Coast, mainly for a mini road trip to explore the Everglades and take in some sun and sand, but after a long drive home through some fantastic thunderstorms, it was such a relief to return to the sanctuary of the villa.

Al and Jude have clearly put a lot of thought into helping guests get the most out of their stay and we really appreciate the help and advice they gave us throughout.

All in all, we had a fantastic holiday and would have no hesitation recommending Al and Jude’s fabulous Florida villa!"

"We thought your villa was fantastic, so much room we wanted to bring it home with us! All the info you gave was really helpful and all the theme parks were so close, you were not lying when you said they were only 10 minutes away. We particularly liked Old Town at night, went there several times, it suited our teenage children, who were happy to go on those scary bungy jump attractions. The shops were great there too, the girls fell in love with the Spa shop and came back with a mountain of creams and potions!

We stayed in during the evenings for 4 days and made the most of the villa. We were so relieved we weren't in a hotel, it was great to be able to do our own thing and make the most of your wonderful facilities!

Thanks for all your help and if anyone we know is looking for a villa, I will recommend they book yours.

My brother had booked one through a travel company, didn't know where it was until they got there and assumed they would be near us as it was also in Kissimmee, unfortunately, it was on the outskirts and they wasted so much time getting to the attractions, we left at the same time as them and had already been at the parks for an hour before they were arriving!

"We just wanted you to know how much we enjoyed staying at your Villa in Kissimmee. The Villa was great everything was just right. Where do I start extolling the advantages of the Villa!! It was fully equipped with all the things that made it feel homely. But at the same time all the luxuries.We had plenty of space to relax and not get in one another's way, The walk-in shower was great and also the jaquzzi bath, just right for ridding the body of it's aches and pains, after a busy day at the Parks. The pool was just about the best thing, even to jumping in fully clothed in the pouring rain!!! Such fun and we are all quite mad!!! Rose our little granddaughter got the confidence of swimming without arm bands for the first time and was diving for things at the bottom of the pool, by the end of the holiday. It was all so comfortable with lovely sofas to just lounge around in, and could sit and just read or watch T/V without a problem of interfering with the others enjoyment. Hope that I have done the Villa justice but it really was Fab!!! We did not want to leave and have boring been everyone here how lovely it was and is. Hope we get to visit it again and really relax and not charge around the Parks all the time. Hope some of our friends will be interested enough to be able to book it as well.

Surrounding the Villa was very pleasant we and did take the opportunity of walks in the area, and to play in the park with Rose. The lake was very pretty and at night with the lights on. It was also very peaceful with lots of lovely birds flying around. Also the ducks that waddled past the pool several times. The other thing we noticed was the quiet at night no traffic noise, or noisy neighbours.

The nice part too was being able to stay in to eat, either by take-away or cooking at the villa and the many resturants nearby, so cheap and plenty of food. Bang went the diets again!!! We tried a new Italian restuarant,only been open 6 weeks, up by the Florida Outlet Mall, not far away. It's was lovely had a selection of Veggie things as well. As I told you we have 4(including Rose) that are Veggies, so we all enjoyed it.

"You have a great home in a great location. We felt very much at home and
thoroughly enjoyed it, and at the end of the day, returning to your home was
comforting - it felt like home and we so looked forward to going there -
especially when your exhausted from the day and just wanted to sit by the
pool with a cool drink in your hand.

"What a lovely place you have!! We were very impressed and at the end of our holiday were very reluctant to leave. During our holiday my brother with his family tired themselves out by going to as many Disney parks as they could manage, followed by compulsary shopping at all the good malls. Whereas myself, Mum & Dad really enjoyed relaxing in the villa during the day, followed by shopping and eating - what bliss!! Your house was perfect for all our family needs.

"We had an absolutely fabulous time. Your villa is
brilliant you must be so proud of it, thank you for letting us share it.

It is really something, so much room especially with the family we all had
enough space for privacy. We could have lived in our master bedroom for
ever there is so much room up there with the dressing area in the en-suite.
Christine really wanted to bring that room home with us. It is so
impressive the whole set up, you really must have given it a lot of thought
when furnishing it, it really feels like home from first walking through the
door.

The kids certainly liked the pool. You have certainly spoilt us for future
holidays. We have taken holidays in the past in apartments etc but never
anywhere like Cumbrian Lakes. Certainly for the Florida holiday
it gives you much more freedom and flexibility than a hotel. And yes we
certainly have and will recommend you and your villa to anyone who ever
mentions a holiday in Florida."

"We have rented the same Villa in Florida about every other year for the last 15 yrs. This year the owners decided that they were going to sell it so we looked around with some trepidation at the thought of being somewhere else.

We need not have worried. Al and Jude dealt with our enquiry and subsequent hire of the Villa with a friendly, confident and professional manner that far exceeds their years.

The Villa is large, comfortable and serves every purpose of providing a luxurious base for those hectic days in Disney as well as a quiet location when chilling out either at night or during the day.

There is plenty of room for two families as well as providing adequate room for both to have their own space.

My son in law fulfilled a dream of mine when we hired a Harley Davidson out each for the day. We covered 250 miles that day and I'm afraid I behaved like a teenager again.

We popped back to the old Villa and touched down with old friends next door which left us with a feeling like when you've moved houses and moved on.

We had a 21 day pass in Disney that gave us the opportunity to spend many part days there rather than the hectic 15 hr days that we have done in the past. Some days we did not get there until 5.o.clock and only spent the evening there.The best ride for me is the Mars trip, it's the nearest I will ever get to the moon and Mars.

We had week passes for Universal which is still a bargain and a day pass for Busch which in our opinion was enough.

I love the house and would like to move it with be right back to Iceland. The masters upstairs and the bathroom is a heaven.

Regarding the booking process, it was very fast and easy, and you always
replied very fast when I had questions, very enjoyable to deal with regular
people not some company. Communications were always friendly and good. I'm very pleased about the whole booking process. Yes very flexible and no pressure.

Impression on Cumbrian lakes and villa. The neighborhood is very nice clean and quiet, picture perfect! Short drive to everything, perfect location.
The weather was better than we had expected.
Nice neighbours, one even came and gave of some advice. Really friendly

The Villa: It was a nice surprise to see that the Villa was actually larger
than we had expected, after seeing the photos on your website. Everything was so nice. We loved the master bathroom, the pool area is very nice.
There was enough room for all 12 of us. The decorations are very nice clean and bright. Everything so open and just a good place to spend your vacation
in. I would def. book your Villa again or recommend it to anyone.

What did I like best: The pool area and Master bed and bathroom, Its just
not something we are used to, so its was really nice.
I just loved the whole house...to be honest!

You really have thought of everything for the house. It lived up to all my
expectations and a lot more. You can be really proud of that villa, and I
hope that we will be able to visit it again.

Our first impression of Cumbrian Lakes - I was so dumbfounded by the exquisite beauty of the place & the villa & it's immaculate condition . The best things about your villa are the lay out , the space and the overall beauty of it . We had everything we needed .

I certainly would recommend Cumbrian Lakes, and your villa to anyone. We had already raved to family members and friends of how beautiful it was .

"I have just returned from my holiday in Alan & Jude's villa at Cumbrian Lakes.

The villa is really attractive to look at and really well appointed. The spaciousness of the interior is accentuated even more by it's open plan design.

The bright decor, luxurious fittings and soft, light plush carpets give it a feeling of comfort and luxury, which together with the crystal clear pool, help to contribute to a general feeling of relaxation and well-being that are just what one needs from a holiday.

All in all, a lovely welcoming place to come back to after a tiring day seeing the sights. A real home from home, only better.

Cumbrian Lakes itself is a very pleasant resort, extremely close to DisneyWorld, Old Town and Celebration (well worth a visit) and innumerable excellent restaurants."

The girls far and away felt that the pool was the best and most important part of the house.

The house itself has been maintained to a very high standard indeed - it is certainly the most luxurious place we have stayed in fifteen years of holidaying abroad. It is tastefully decorated and extremely well-equipped. The kitchen houses a huge fridge, there is an abundance of clean bath towels and there is even a play station in case the children get withdrawal symptoms!

" Your villa was great! The pool was great. Our three teenagers loved having their own bedrooms and the extra baths. Having a garage was super. It kept our cars cool during the day! As for the master suite, it was nice having a TV in there to keep up on the weather, news and such. The master bath was absolutely fantastic! I especially loved the separate his and hers vanities and the shower...it was huge! I hope we never have to stay in a hotel again! As your first American guests, I hope we will be staying in your "Fabulous Florida Villa" again!"

Jeanne asked for more TVs in the master bedrooms, so we made sure they were in place as we know that all future guests will benefit from them too.

"I have to say I thought your villa was fabulous - very much the highlight of the holiday. It was wonderful to be able to enjoy such a large, open and sunny property - the galleried landing and huge staircase were beautiful and the property was much larger than I had expected from the web-site pictures. The pool was also absolutely stunning and it was lovely to be in a brand new property. I think the interior of the property has been designed, decorated and furnished very well - it was a pleasure to stay there. The master bedroom/bathroom was fantastic!

I thought Cumbrian Lakes was a very nice area - it is very quiet and residential - perfect for a relaxed holiday whilst also being close enough to all the main attractions. The community is very well kept and the lake is lovely. The property is also very handy for supermarkets - the Publix and Walmart nearby were useful and there was an excellent very large Publix a little further east along H192. We also tried a number of the local restaurants - we found 'Outback' quite good (huge steaks) and would recommend Sunday brunch at La Coquina in the Hyatt Cypress Grove - not cheap at $55 per head but the price includes free flowing champagne and a wonderful array of food. The gardens/pool at the Hyatt are also very nice - just right for sleeping off a long lunch!

Joanne & George were the very first booking we've taken, so we were really thrilled with this great feedback.
